MAPENZI was founded in 2020, driven by the desire to fill a gap in the lingerie market in Mozambique. Realizing the lack of sophisticated and high-quality pieces, similar to those found in international brands, I felt it was time to do something different. I started as a reseller of a prestigious Brazilian brand, and over time, the growing demand motivated me to turn MAPENZI into a luxury brand of its own.
In March of the same year, I launched the first batches of lingerie, which quickly won the hearts of Mozambican women. To me, lingerie has always been more than just clothing – it’s a treat, a gesture of affection that elevates self-esteem and makes any woman feel special. With the initial success, I decided to follow a new path: to produce our own pieces, with exclusive labels and a touch of sophistication that reflects the essence of MAPENZI.
